Very sweet. Very creamy. Very stuffed with cream. Pretty good.

Crispy, sweet and must be fried in lard. Quite delicious.

Fort Worth is a donut mecca

When I go to Fort Worth to visit my mom I remember what donuts were like when I was growing up.  They were in every strip mall.  They were 3 to 5 minutes from wherever you were.  They were big.  They were delicious.  It was and still remains a donut mecca.

Sour cream and cinnamon! Unique and delicious old fashioned donut. Plus, the shop is super cute.

King Donut – North Richland Hills, TX

Glazed, they said. I was a bit disappointed but then I took a bite. My eyes rolled back into my head and my tongue was very pleased with me. Their glazed donuts are so light and fluffy they seem jet puffed. Slightly crisp, moist and totally delicious.

Crown Donut – Austin, TX

Glazed you say! Pretty yummy and fluffy and crisp. Needs a big glass of very cold milk. Next time I am going to try one of their sprinkled ones, they looked special.

Mrs. Johnson’s – Austin, TX

Blueberry cake. Holy cow, they have good donuts at Mrs. Johnson's. I am not sure how they make thier donuts but they are fantastic. You must try them.

Krispy Kreme – Austin, TX

Krispy Kreme's version of an eclaire. Soft, fluffy dough, very very very sweet! Melts in your mouth
